INOFlex® VD – 4-Jaw Manual Chuck with Closed Centre
Developed in response to the evolving needs of modern machining, the INOFlex® VD is a manually operated, closed centre chuck offering excellent flexibility. Its compensating clamping system allows for accurate, centric holding of round, rectangular, and irregularly shaped components.
INOFlex® – Economical and Exceptionally Versatile
Offered in sizes from Ø160 to Ø1200 mm, the INOFlex® combines the benefits of 2-, 3-, and 4-jaw chucks along with vice functionality – all in one adaptable solution. Its patented compensation system avoids common issues like over-constrained clamping, ensuring reliable performance.
-
Effective for round, square, rectangular, and irregular workpieces
-
Suitable for delicate, easily deformed parts
-
Supports both internal and external clamping
How the INOFlex® System Works
Unlike traditional chucks where all jaws move symmetrically in or out from the centre, the INOFlex® operates on a unique concept. Its four jaws move along two parallel axes, either towards or away from each other. This motion is mechanically linked using a system of levers or a sliding gate-style gear, allowing opposing jaws to compensate as needed.
This patented compensating mechanism enables precise centric clamping of round, square, and unevenly shaped components – making it ideal for turning and milling operations that demand high accuracy.
