Their range of Dead centres provide outstanding support to long or slender workpieces between the headstock and tailstock

Application
High precision carbide dead centres for grinding, measuring and testing. Optimal grinding results because of the high roundness of the 60° point and the precision of the Morse taper.

 

Technical Specifications

  • Dimensions conform to DIN806E, 807 and 228, but with higher accuracy by ROTOR standard
  • Carbide tips DIN8012 for standard centres
  • Carbide tips with shaft for more safety at full points
  • Carbide rings for bull nose points
  • Roundness at ROTOR standard centres <0.001mm; special centres <0.0003mm (incl. roundness document)
  • Tolerance of the point 60° 0/+0.15°
  • Surface hardened taper for protection
  • Ground taper conforms to DIN228AT3

Regrinding is possible down to the groove (refer to arrow).
Centres can be returned to the manufacturer to regrind the 60° point.
